Why-Not Family

Why-not was my entry into passing patterns with heffs and also into asynchronous 4-handed siteswap patterns.

Why not is probably among the easier passing patterns with heffs, because they have less than 7 clubs.

The most common patterns are the 6-club patterns Why-not, Not-why and Maybe. They all stem from Funky Bookends 77786 (PPSPH) and are created by switching one of the passes to a zip, thereby creating three patterns with a club less than Funky Bookens.

There are 7 and 8 club why-not, which feature two double and two triple passes, respectively. If one wants to be consistent with this, the two patterns above (whose name was chosen because they feel similar to why-not and are good training patterns for why-not) should not really be called 5-club why not. But the names have been widely established and so I present:
