Selfs, Zaps, Passes

From jugglingpatterns

We introduced passes and also zaps without other throws (zips don't count), we combined each of those throws with selfs in the classical n-count type patterns and a few patterns that only have zaps and selfs (zips again don't count).

Now it's time to combine all those throws together.

Some of these are zapnips, which are all collected together because they are compatible to one or another selfless-passing pattern. A lot of the zapnips fall into this category on this page here, if you also allow Flips.

For patterns that have both, zaps and passes, it is important that there is a clear difference in height - or ultimately in flight time between zaps and passes. A pass must not just be a turning zap and vice versa.

More complex patterns with Selfs, Passes and Zaps are described as

Period 7 patterns

Other period 7 patterns that I haven't tried so far:

Baby Dragon

The baby dragon is probably the pinnacle of this category of patterns, because it has exactly those three throws in a period three pattern. Mind that Patterns without repeating throws generally feel more difficult than patterns with some repeating throws, because we practice the same throw repeating a lot in many patterns.

Period 9 Patterns

Also haven't tried them yet, and probably hard to remember complex period 9, but here goes…
