A zap is a throw to another person in which the club turns very little or not at all. Zaps are faster than normal passes.

In 4-handed siteswap notation, they are usually a 5 (or 2.5 if divided by 2 for 2-hand beats)

Learning Zaps

If you have never thrown zaps, I suggest you start with Beginning Zaps which has comparatively easy patterns with zaps.

More advanced ways of learning zaps are showin in Zaps and Passes (and Flips), Selfs and Zaps and also the Zapnips_(Zaps_on_Parsnips)_Family
