Multiplex

A multiplex throw means you are throwing more than one object at the same time. There are different techniques to hold objects (usually balls) so that they split up either horizontally to arrive at the same time at different or the same hand or vertically, so that they arrive at different times.

In siteswap, these throws are usually indicated by brackets around them, e.g. [33] would be a 6 ball pattern, which is basically a three ball cascade, but on each throw you throw two balls, which are also caught together at the same time.
